Make it fruity: some really nice fruit-flavored craft beers
Adding a fruit kick is a great way to add an original touch to the flavor of beer, adding some unique and interesting notes.
It is also interesting to see how the choice of fruit varies, depending on countries and locations, with different areas boasting different resources and readily available ingredients.
For example, Cantillon, amazing brewery in Brussels, produces its Lou Pepe, selecting the best barrels of its lambic brewery and after the addition of a neutral source of sugar, which ferments completely during the months of aging in bottle. It adds in the same mixture a quantity of raspberries that exceeds one and a half that used for the main “framboise” of the Brasserie.

Another fruity beer comes from San Francisco’s 21st Amendment brewery. Their Hell or high watermelon has a real fun name but its delicious and refreshing taste is no gimmick? The brewery describes this beer as in “summer in a can” and we definitely agree with their description.
